Looks like your stigmata is a little off, Worthington. Or maybe just very canon specific.
It's what happened to him before he became Archangel all those years ago, though that last time wasn't his choice...perhaps the two sides of Warren will have to merge into one somehow and we'll be left with the "real" Warren back...at least one can hope that the old Warren returns, not Remender's weak version either...
Ugh, why have writers felt the need to muck up Angel the last few years. I was so happy when his metal wings molted back in the '90s, and he was stable for so long in the comics, and then "X-Force" had to dreg up the Archangel nonsense a few years ago. The character is basically ruined for me now. Not to be a pile of negativity or anything.
The article says "fully human" but he has glowing energy symbols around him, so he's likely still got the energy blast powers.
He obviously still has the immense healer powers, which I assume is why there's a crowd/cult gathering.
I think they made a mistake in leaving Archangel back at the base, because I want to see the two fight each other. I suppose new!Angel would be at a disadvantage without wings, but I'll allow it.

WaTXM 20 was the first place NuAngel developed energy powers. This could be interpreted as them in action.

Yes I said this in another thread just now, he has to come together and I hope personally that he retains the energy wings. Archangel should always be a part of him the way Phoenix is part of Jean's legacy, but I like them more than the metal wings Also I liked the instances of healing and prophecy even though Nu Angel had no story or personality, the powers are cool and I think they are more part of Warren while the metal wings are from Apocalypse. Remender wrote a great story with Archangel IMO but I would like the pendulum to go in the other direction for a while. Archangel is pretty unstable!
I wonder if Angel healing people is what leads to a bunch of Archangel clones in Green Ridge. Maybe using those healing powers is reprogramming DNA multiplying the number of Archangels
That lamb pic is so depressing.
Back to murder! Almost...
I'm still thinking the Choir is involved.
