Well from the interview on the other thread, it seems that it wasn't his decision to get rid of Nu52 Supes and swap him for Superdad. That was the call of someone higher up. (I think the call came from the WB themselves and above DC Comics, but that's speculation on my part). Also, it wasn't Dan Jurgens who decided to Reboot 5 years ago. It was Dan DiDio Jim Lee, and to a lesser degree, Geoff Johns. Jurgens was working on Green Arrow and Firestorm at the time if I remember correctly.THOSE are the people you should ask that question of. Not that they'll ever answer either.
1. Like someone else has said, two wrongs don't make a right. There was no need to kill him off.
2. Yeah, I know. A matter of personal preference. But like I said, "edgy" doesn't necessarily mean "dark", and that's important for the character.
3. Nothing. Some fans like a powerful Superman, and I happen to be among them.
4. Because DC (or rather the writers) didn't care to develop them. I'm pretty sure there were a few in the post-COIE days that suffered the same fate.
5. "Not suited" according to you, which is something far from being a fact. Also, the SMWW books had some decent sales numbers, AFAIK. As for stories, wrong again. I take it you didn't read the book. It was a relationship with LOTS of room to grow.

It's hard to talk about a "legacy" character for Superman. There is only one Superman, and that is Kal-El (from whatever universe we talk about).
