Default Question about blackened-out credits in collected editions.

    Hey folks!

I have a question regarding the collected edition of the Phalanx Covenant story, which was collected as 'The Origin Of Generation X' in 2001. This is the book I'm referring to.

Throughout the book all the spaces that refer to creator credit and editor's notes regrading past events (and even some lines of dialogue) are blacked out. The book was published this way.

So, have any of you encountered this before? Why is this done?

This has left me very curious so any answers you can offer are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    -Odd Rödney

Mostly cos the trade'll feature the credits list at the front, so repeating it is redundent. That, and the original credit boxes may contain copyright info which is no longer accurate and out of date.
