New teaser with Spidey VS Bucky.
New teaser with Spidey VS Bucky.

There's some snark that Spidey may have more dialogue in this film than Superman did in Dawn of Justice.

I saw the film 2 days ago. I'd say he was in the film about 25 minutes.
spoilers:end of spoilers
You get about 10 minutes with him as Peter Parker when he meets Tony Stark, 10 minutes or maybe a bit more during the airport scene, and then there's a little 3-5 minute epilogue with him as Peter again after the credits.

25-30 minutes IS substantial. Pleasantly surprised.
Saw the film. Enjoyed the film. Loved Spidey.
Not so sure about Aunt May.

Spider-Man's parts in the fights were really fun. Though I was not fond of the in-story reason for his involvement.
Aunt May wasn't on screen long enough to really judge. That said, my feeling is she is going to be very similar to Sally Field's Aunt May in terms of importance to the upcoming stories.
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
I thought this was the best Spider-Man's moved or looked on film yet.
I wasn't too bugged by Tomei's May, but she didn't have a lot of screen time or much to do here.
Bring on the 2017 flick!
My issue with May is that it seems like a different character. spoilers:end of spoilers
It's just not Marissa Tomei is a much younger take on the character, but her whole thing in the comics is that she's overprotective, so she takes Peter's injuries way too lightly, telling him she hopes he got a few licks in.
I will say the film may have ended with the most obvious text ever: spoilers:end of spoilers
Spider-Man will return.
And this was a great take on Spidey. The effects were excellent, but I loved the quips. It helps that this version of Spider-Man appeared in an established superhero universe where so much makes him unique in comparison to all the others. The earlier takes might have been a bit more generic, and they could get away with it, in a world without any other superheroes.

With regards to Aunt May,
spoilers:end of spoilers.
Pretty sure Tony would've told her that Peter had super powers, or she discovered it on her own. Considering that in the Ultimate Spider-Man tv show Aunt May knows it wouldn't be surprising if Marvel wants it closer to Ultimate May whose hip and not gonna faint at anything.
"What about wheatcakes next time?"-Peter

The audience in my theater cheered when the text indicating that the new exotic location was spoilers:end of spoilers.

I thought it was that they recognized the character that would pop up. Though it could also be that we were there. What was the reception to the scene in your theaters?
Sincerely,
Thomas Mets
I saw the film two nights ago and really enjoyed it, and the new Spider-Man was the highlight of the whole thing. I didn't see any spoilers or read any reviews to go in without any preconceived notions, and I just think the actor knocked it out of the park: his quips as Spidey were spot-on. He really nailed what Peter/Spidey sounds like. Plus I thought his costume was better than all the previous incarnations.
I didn't stay for the final post-credit scene though! Dang.
-Pav, who can't believe how hot Aunt May is...
You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back.
"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

It seemed to take a few moments for people to realize it was Spider-Man. Probably because he lived in a different location than had been depicted in all of the previous Spider-Man films. It honestly didn't take the crowd long to warm up to Holland's Spider-Man. And by the end of the film, there was definite interest in seeing more of him.
(Of course, this is all anecdotal. But I can't imagine Sony not being happy. CA: CW's domestic opening weekend was almost as high as ASM 2's entire domestic gross.)
