"After a test run killing a dog, the wild cackle of Cobblepot reveals the turn we've been waiting for. While the particulars haven't been surprising in the least, it's always to the show's credit the way they burn through stories at a fast clip."

Ok, Penguin killing everyone wasn't surprising, but are you honestly arguing that his feeding the kids to their mom wasn't the least bit surprising? Revenge in this case was definitely a dish best served well cooked.

Yeah, I was watching and I thought, "Wow, it's pretty edgy nowadays to show somebody killing an animal in a TV show."

Then I saw what came next.

    An 8:00 show, too. Dayum.
