Probably the best Superman design I've ever seen. Bravo!
Can DC trade Jim Lee for someone at Marvel? How about Frank Cho?
So, Supes finally gets rid of that damned collar, but the trade off is his losing the iconic red boots. Jesus, can't those rocket scientists at DC get anything right?
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
Considering Jim Lee's sale of Wildstorm to DC basically made him a part of the company and the merger of the Wildstorm universe with the DC universe during Flashpoint has forever solidified his partnership with DC forevermore, I'd say no.
Anyway, I like the new costume. A friend of mine said that he wasn't a fan of the blue boots, but this morning, it was pointed out to me that Superman's first appearance in Action Comics #1 featured the Man of Steel in blue footwear.

Underpants Superman = The Only Superman
I like it. I do wish there was a little more red somewhere on it to make up for the lack of red boots and underpants, but I'm glad the collar's gone. It wasn't offensive or anything. It just seemed a little out of place.
At any rate, I'll be getting back onboard Action Comics against come Rebirth time, so the initiative seems to have done its job in that regard.
What can I say but, "I love comics."
A lot better than I was expecting. Curious to see if this is actually the older Supes filling in for the dead younger version or not...
