    Maybe they'll get Michelle MacLaren.

Please let their choice of directors be all women. I can think of dozens of women directors for the gig.

    Jennifer Kent
    Michelle Maclaren
    Rosemary Rodriguez
    Gina Prince-Bythewood
    Karyn Kusama
    Catherine Hardwicke
    Mimi Leder
    Tricia Brock
    Larysa Kondracki
    Jen and Sylvia Soska

    How about the Wachowskis?
Do the Wachowskis count as women now? I'm not sure.

Transgender women are women, they count.

Olivia Wilde would make a PERFECT Carol. Even if not, Marvel's casting has been perfect so far.

I couldn't care less what gender, color, race, ethnicity, height or hair color the director is. But . . . a big fat "no" on Karyn Kusama. And Missy Peregrym is still my (admittedly longshot) choice for Carol.

You obviously haven't heard the buzz about Kusama's The Invitation if you're going by just Aeon Flux and Jennifer's Body. Besides with the former, the studio screwed her over.

I'd be there first day if Shimako Sato directed. She's done excellent comics adaptations, does superhero stuff fantastically, and she's one of the best filmmakers working right now. But, it wouldn't happen, of course.

I want a director they'll let direct and a lead who can sell authority and bravado (and for the movie to actually let her do that; so many of the Marvel movies just fade their women to the background while men do stuff).
Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)

Excuses, excuses. Aeon Flux and Jennifer's Body were bad movies that she directed. She carries the freight for that just like any other filmmaker who directs bad movies.

I haven't heard of her before. Is she that good?

How about no. The last good Wachowski film was V for Vendetta. Which they wrote the screenplay for and allegedly helped direct.

The Wachowski's problems have always been that they come off as people who watch too much anime and try to make films with the same sensibilities are or flare. The Matrix trilogy, Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin, Jupiter Ascending, and Cloud Atlas. All Japanese forgeries, and only one of them actually being good and clever (The Matrix), which riffed Ghosts in the Shell for it's look.

Even then, The Invitation and its positive buzz disagree with you.

Not to mention, how Aeon Flux turned out wasn't exactly her vision anyway.

    My body has been ready.

    Anna Torv

    Charlize Theron

    Emily Blunt

In no particular order. When I think about it, maybe Jessica Chastain. She might looks a little off as a blonde though, I'm not sure.
