It's kind of difficult to approach the best marksman in the world when you've got an arrow between your eyes.

I know, right? It's almost like he has developed some survival skills in all those years that he's been part of SHIELD.

Why would he just run off with his tail tucked between his legs when he could watch the Avengers fail? His personality is based on Tony Stark after all, narcism and everything.

Honest question, would you just refuse someone who has proven that they've seen the error of their ways and gone out of their way to risk their own safety to help you save the world? Redemption has always been a recurring theme in comic books. They should really have a plot line in future movies where heroes are being held accountable for their actions.

You do have a point about Quicksilver's death and as far as I know, there were two versions filmed in order to gauge the reactions of test audiences to Pietro's death. He might've been too exhausted or not fast enough to save Hawkeye and the kid in time. The scene where he was grazed by one of the police officers showed that he's still vulnerable when he's running. There's a difference between having a speedster in your movie or a nigh-omnipotent person who could singlehandedly stop any given threat and rid the movie of tension.

Yes, it's most fortunate that the Chitauri are about as skilled in aim as the average Stormtrooper.

In the first movie Widow says she and Clint are out of their element. They're not soldiers they're spies and assassins. Yet there is not a single moment where they seem to be in any danger.

Yeah we wouldn't want to make things difficult for the protagonists

None of this changes the fact that Wanda was responsible for pretty much everything that happened in AoU. She shows no actual regret for her actions and it can easily be interpreted as her worrying Ultron was going to kill her as well. Yes redemption has been a theme in the comics but it's still something that is earned which Wanda has yet to actually do. Even if they let her help, there is no reason why she's on the team instead of in prison. She even tries to shift the blame again saying that Ultron's actions are Tony's fault ignoring that Tony would never have built Ultron in the first place if not for her.
