Dark Knight Returns - Its got its flaws, but a classic nonetheless with some damned good story points. And it pulls of showing us a Batman who is pushed to the edge
No Man's Land - As others have said, this story is a monster achievement that works on all sorts of levels. It introduced some really great characters, too.
Batman and Robin (Morrison) - Kind of an atypical Batman story, honestly. Maybe it shouldn't count because its Dick.

    In descending order:

    • JLA: Tower of Babel (It's a story about the League, yes, but since it's Bruce centric, I'll include it here)
    • The Long Halloween
    • No Man's Land

Also please note that the favorites list is also subject to terms and conditions, and can change on a whim, depending on how the author feels at any given time.

Mine are all also kind of cliché, but, I mean...they're all great. Also, its hard for me to limit it to just three, so I'm expanding it to 6 and they're in no particular order.

    1. Batman: Year One (first Batman story I ever read. Has to make this list)
    2. Long Halloween
    3. Dark Victory
    4. Endgame
    5. Batman: Prey (probably the only atypical pick on my list. I just loved the Moench and Dixon stories about his early days)
    6. Court of Owls

And, obviously, a shout out to Killing Joke.

What up nepenthes? I was worried you'd left the boards. Milligan is seconded, I think I forgot him on my list.

I thought Murderer/Fugitive was great too. Original concept. The only thing I think holds it back is the real cartoony art. YMMV, but if it had something more subtle like Gotham central or even something abstract like Tim sale, it may have been regarded better.

It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

    1.) Black Mirror
    2.) Mad Love
3.) Zero Year (mainly Savage City)

That'd change if episodes of the animated series were allowed (are they?)
