I was debating this at work and am curious which of Remender's quality ongoings is the most popular with you all. I'm voting Low, that one connects with me strongest.
Black Science
Low
Deadly Class
Tokyo Ghost
Devolution

Wanted to vote for Black Science. Ended up voting for Low.
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008
trade-waiting - Ice Cream Man, Monstress
backlog - Blade of the Immortal, Mignolaverse, Promethea, X-Cutioner's Song
LOW. Absolutely kills it on LOW.
But I'm reading everything else too. He's my favorite writer... I'll read everything he puts out.
For me, I enjoyed the first arc of Low, Black Science, and Deadly Class, but then dropped each series a couple of issues later due to sever drop off in my enjoyment of those books. I dropped Tokyo Ghost after the first issue. I will almost certainly never read Devolution.
Based on the first arc only, I'll vote for Deadly Class.
Black Science and Deadly Class.
It's a really close call between Black Science and Low, but I'm going to have to go with Black Science.
I'm currently only reading Tokyo Ghost and Low and they're both pretty amazing. Low probably just edges it but it's a close one. Really looking forward to Seven to Eternity!
Holy cow, this poll is tight!
Low and Deadly Class tied in 1st, with Black Science just one vote away from a 3-way tie.
BTW why does Rick Remender not post in here? Erik Larsen, tell your writers to socialize with their fans! Remender is pretty much the current face of Image IMO. What other site gives his stuff this much love?
As an aspiring writer, Remender has become one of my biggest influences lately in terms of how to structure plots and set characters up for tragedy. I just finished writing my first novel length story, and multiple times found myself thinking "What would Rick Remender do?" to figure out where to take certain plots.
Also, LOL @ Devolution's poor showing. I almost didn;t include it for this very reason. It's not even a bad book! I enjoy it, but it's too new to have me that invested.
My vote went to Low.
