    Default Best order to read the old (pre 2016) Age Of Apocalypse collected editions?

    Hey folks!

    I haven't read this series since the 90's and I've had the 4 "Complete Collection" books for a while now. With the Apocalypse movie coming soon I've been thinking about jumping back in. I read somewhere that the order the books are numbered is not the order in which they should be read. Some suggest reading volumes 2, 3 & 4 before reading 1. Is that correct? Is there another order I should consider?

    Also, if this is so; what were Marvel thinking publishing numbered books that aren't to be read in that numerical order?!

    Anyway, I appreciate any help you can offer.
