On a side note, it frustrates me when Asian characters are drawn to look White. Same with Latino characters.





Yeah I feel you. Then again this gives Jaime the opportunity to date someone else. I always wanted him and Aquagirl to be together, just to have a powerhouse Latino couple!

Poor Karate Kid. The last series he ever appeared in was Countdown to Final Crisis. Where he died. In Countdown. That's just insulting, they need to bring him back with so much awesomeness to apologize for that.

And I think Jaime and Cassie Sandsmark would be a good couple. Never liked Cassie & Conner Kent together. Good characters, but no chemistry.

Well the original Karate Kid was a White dude. Val Armorr was definitely conceived as a regular White dude, later on once he died he was to be replaced by some Asian kid. There was an issue LOSH issue where Timberwolf and Val's old sensei find the kid. I don't know if that kid ever did replace him as Karate Kid but since then I've noticed him being drawn more Asian-y.

Anywho no way the original KK was supposed to be Asian IIRC the original LOSH editor was a pretty serious racist. No joke, read up on it.

November solicitations! I didn't include Katana, Traci 13 or Cassandra Cain because their appearances are in team books or they are support characters. Katana will appear in Suicide Squad, Cassandra will appear in Detective Comics and Traci 13 is a supporting character in Superwoman just in case you were wondering. Kenan aka Super-Man is the only Asian character with an ongoing solo series but hopefully this list grows larger in the future

Did they have to make him a dork with "crippling social anxiety?" He at least needs goggles of some kind rather than the horn-rimmed glasses. I will likely pick up the first few issues to see how they handle the team chemistry and to see what threats they go up against.

(Not for nothing, but I just imagined seeing him introduced into the CW DCTV universe being played by the guy who plays Dong on "Kimmy Schmidt...")

Element Woman and Traci 13 are probably my two faves.

Didio implied on his facebook that Emily might appear in the Doom Patrol book (she was on the team but I don't think they've shown her in the book yet).

Can't wait to see Traci in Superwoman soon.

Though if they keep it up I might just start having all of the Chinese Trinity as my faves. I particularly like Wonder-Woman.

So as of this past month, Superwoman has joined Blue Beetle, Cyborg, and New Super-Man as books in the danger zone (Sales below 20,000). While I'm worried about all of these books, except for Cyborg, one of my biggest fears is about Traci 13. We've barely gotten to see any of her in Superwoman, and the next arc is gonna be all about Steel and Natasha. Really hoping the book doesn't canceled before Traci gets an arc, or at the very least, some focus.
