Asians of the DCU

Thinking about it the Titans don't really have any Asian heroes (Bushido is the only one that comes to mind), so I say just introduce both Toshio and Asami into the DCU proper. Name Toshio Samurai and Asami Wind Dragon and make them both teens or make Asami a TT and Toshio a JL (with El Dorado and Longshadow).

Always felt that was a cop-out. Kinda like when you see gang members from these multi-racial gangs in movies. It's cute but takes me out of the story.

I think that's different.It may take you out of the story but the amazon thing and multi-racial ethnic group in the cave in that pic is closer to real life then you think.

Greece and rome had some africans living in the those cultures.In fact blacks were in europe or greece before the greeks themselves.
Asians(black and east asian race types) were in pre-historic europe themselves traveling back and forth for trade etc..
There were/are black greeks and romans,and few east asians over time living there.There are black arabs,white and brown arabs living in arabia.
Black,white and brown berbers in africa.
Whites,muslims etc.. who came to live in the eastern part of china etc..
Whites and eastern asian types living together in those central asian countries (stan countries),that's why there are euro-asian asian types living there too.
In other words there are tribes or ethnic groups that are multi-racial or became multi-racial over time but the basic culture could still be african,asian/native american or european.
Of course even if the ethnic group as become multi-racial overtime one of races in most cases will be a clear enough majority.
I read somewhere too that certain african and asian cultures had amazon myth etc..before europeans so you have take that into consideration too when you see amazons of color in wonder woman stories.

So the amazon thing is closer to real life then you think.
Now multi racial gangs?that is a different story.

By the way dc is making a big enough deal about this new asian superman more so then any other asian male character that i remember,so he may have a greater chance lasting or lasting longer then the others on average or shown more consistently.

I was thinking more of putting the Superfriends homages in their own team: The Posse.

Bushido in my take on him would be suited better in magic focused teams.

Actually, could Sam Zhao from Earth 2 be a homage to Samurai? He's Asian (though Chinese-American instead of Japanese) and his air powers.

Just saw Suicide Squad and I must say Katana was severely under utilized! However the few scenes she had were really cool and I'm hoping future movies expand on her. She made a great foil to Harley Quinn imo.

I'm loving Kenan Kong at the moment. He's a butt head but I think that's part of his development.

DC is lacking in the Asian male department but I feel Kenan Kong is a step in the right direction. Now we just need to get Ryan Choi back!!

I was surprised to see NSM do so well. Gives me a lot of hope for Blue Beetle being a success. I might check out NSM now that I know it will last a while and not be cancelled after 12 issues.

And I'm pretty sure The Atom with Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi will be a decent success as well.

Samurai/Toshio has been in the DCU proper since Infinite Crisis they just need to do something with him. Toyman/Hiro Okamura should have joined the Titans.
