Unfortunately, I disagree with you on the Supes/WW relationship. If it's decided, at some point in REBIRTH (I would assume it would have to be early on) to retcon the relationship into oblivion, I would be completely fine with that. I don't ever recall Azz addressing it during his run on WW, if at all, and as a reader of WW, I would consider Azz's run to be much more 'essential' to WW's mythology, than that of a Nu52Supes and Wonder Woman relationship.
Azzarello did not touch upon Diana's relationship with Kal or even Steve for that matter. That issue of SECRET ORIGINS did nothing to explain how Diana gained the title of Wonder Woman. FOREVER ARGUS did a better job on that front than Azzarello ever did. Plus, he sequestered Diana from the rest of the DC Universe with the notable exception of Orion and the other New Gods. Azzarello wanted to pair Diana with Orion but was thankfully overruled on that front.

And I just disagree completely with your first paragraph. Azzarello's run in my view was a disaster and I have no respect for what he did to WONDER WOMAN for three years. With Azzarello at the helm, I couldn't recognize my favorite comic book character especially because she wasn't the focus of the title. I don't care if if he's an Eisner winner/fan favorite/whatever but to me Azzarello never "got" the character. Giving her a father, making the Amazons sperm thieves, having Diana become the God of War (Marston must be rolling in his grave especially on that one)...UGH. So much of Azzarello's run was awful that I hope Rucka undoes most if not all of Azzarello's terrible "contributions" to the Wonder Woman mythos.

Taking Diana away from the dc universe and making her feel like she's stranded in another world where they never existed was kinda weird

I'll Be Getting Wonder Woman#2 And #3 from this list though(Never really read wonder woman at all but the hype around rucka has gotten me interested)

It was Zola and Zeke's world. Diana/Wonder Woman just happened to live in it. SMH.

Yeah, ok. Like I said, I don't recall Azz ever working the whole Supes/WW relationship into his fairly long run on the books. Evidently, he didn't. Just as well.

Again, just because I can respect Azz's run on the title, doesn't mean I exactly like what he did. Far from it. Actually I have problems with alot of what he changed/revamped with WW's mythos, and honestly hope to see Rucka restore back alot of the classic interpretations that were already set prior to the reboot. In alot of ways, I feel as if Azz got too much lee way, but on the other hand, it's a run that certainly has been influential and accepted to some degree by readers who took to this particular interpretation. I can respect that, without being completely and wholeheartedly on board with it.

Enough of the Azzarello debate. His run has nothing to do with the upcoming book or the solicits (other than the bound collections)

Plenty of threads out there you can find to debate and discuss Azzarello's run.

In these stories, Wonder Woman travels from Paradise Island to Man’s World, where she serves as an emissary of peace, using her bracelets and lasso of truth to stop injustice. These stories introduce the mythology of Wonder Woman as she battles the powers of evil—from crooked business owners to Nazi spies. Cool. A seven hundred page Golden Age book. Sounds wonderful. Sounds heavy and unwieldy. And with a Darwyn Cooke cover as well.

The Jill Thompson book sounds interesting. I enjoyed her contribution to the Perez run.

And to me, the best thing to come out of The New 52 was Diana's relationship with Kal. I want so many things that Azzarello created to be undone by Rucka but not the Wonder Woman/Superman relationship. Anything but that.
I think that ship sailed, my friend. They seem to be putting that to bed in SuperLeague and Rebirth promises a return to the basics of each character - so expect a LOT more Lois and Steve Trevor
