Although the title of the arc, as well as one of its covers, references The Death of Captain Marvel, writer Jason Aaron isn’t saying how much influence the 1982 graphic novel has on The Mighty Thor. “That’s obviously a powerful book and a huge part of Marvel history, but I’m afraid you’ll just have to wait to see whether or not our story shares anything with that one,” he told Nerdist. “I will just say that I’ve always been telling a very specific story with Jane, and I’ve known for a while where that was headed.”

It doesn't sound like Aaron's plans for Jane have changed.

I'm glad they made it clear that they understood the difference between fans hating the name game and Thor not being the star of his own book vs straight misogyny. Because one does present a reasonable quality for concern. It would be like people hating Riri Williams and just saying haters are racist or misogynistic. Or hating Hulk is racist. Sometimes people just want the core meat. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm glad they made it clear that they understood the difference between fans hating the name game and Thor not being the star of his own book vs straight misogyny. Except he didn't mention anything about understanding how people could hate the new character such as Riri, Jane, Cho and etc. He stated he could understand people have concerns about the name change and thor not being a star. That is a legitimate concern that people understand. Where the racism, and misogyny and aspects come in, is where people hate the new characters as part of the process, primarily using their demographic as part of the reason for the hatred. Especially since we all know that all the characters are going to be back eventually to begin with. Everyone should have known that this was all temporary and in the end, both the classic characters and legacy characters will live on allowing for advantages that wasn't possible before. And by the way, this is a Mighty Thor appreciation thread, if you don't like the character, you shouldn't be posting in the thread, per the appreciation rules.

That is the kind of image I immediately want to ink and colour, just to see if I could do it justice with my amateur enthusiasm and lack of real skill or schooling. Simonson still has that flair for simple shapes and composition. Just lovely.

Y'know, I have in recent years grown weary of how Thor has become the Hulk's inferior. Traditionally, Hulk was stronger, but Thor was more powerful.

Aaron said every Thor from HIS RUN would appear. Isn't Thor Girl from before his run started? If he's never used her, don't expect her to show up now.
