Default Gargareans in Wonder Woman comics?

Has DC comics used the Gargareans from Greek Mythology, They were the male equivalents of the Amazons. Was there any Wonder Woman stories that had the Gargareans?.

Gail mixed the meta-mythology of H. P. Lovecraft with the Greek myths of the White Isle - the Isle of Heroes - and that of the Gargareans ..to create her own Thalarion, home of DC's Gargareans.

In Greek myth, the Gargareans and the heroes of the White Isle are two distinctly different groups. Furthermore, the Gargareans NEVER lived on an island, but inhabited a neighboring country that either bordered or was near the Amazon's homeland, in Asia Minor (Turkey).
