Default We need to see a live action Hulk vs Thing in our lifetimes!

The Fantastic Four can't be brought back under Marvel's direct control fast enough. It's way past time that the fans got to see a live action Hulk vs Thing battle like happens in the comics on a recurring basis.

You have to have a compelling actor as Ben Grimm, and have Mark Ruffalo return as the Hulk.

Have this take place in a place that is unpopulated and avoid the carnage of Man of Steel.

....... If this were a fight thread it would be acceptable.

And I would love for movie Hulk to smash movie Thing.

Especially the horrible reboot government killer one

If anybody can save a F4 movie, it's Morgan Freeman.

    As for a fight,
Maybe if it was a composite Live Action Thing it would be a fight?

Doubt it. Movie Hulk is still faster and stronger, and more durable, than both of them combined.

I love the Hulk/Thing rivalry....one of my favorites.

But *points to the bolded comment above*, what do you mean FF coming under Marvel's direct control? As in, you'd like to see that happen?

    *tear rolls down eye*

    So would I.

So should the fight be in an Avengers movie, a Hulk movie, a Disney-produced Fantastic Four movie, or some other character's movie?

Guys, this really isn't a Rumbles thread.

I am not hyped up to see this happen on the big screen, and in fact would much rather see Hulk take some other brick. For the general public who would no nostalgia or even less frame of reference (The Thing being a tough bastard and just that steel willed), a battle of orange vs green is of no concern.

As for where it would take place, I'd imagine it would need to be in a Hulk movie where the Thing makes an appearance. A FF movie would require to many subplots for the other 3 FF, whereas a team movie would have the fight be overshadowed by whomever the big bad is...probably Doom...

This can still happen in a big Avengers movie, and a rivalry can be started from the manipulation of a villain.

I'd rather see an animated adaption if the Incredible Hulk & the Thing: Hard Knocks miniseries.

Hulk and Grimm having a few beers and reminscing over some if their best brawls.

Edit: But yeah this should probably moved to the Marvel Forum.

Why? All their fights invariably end with Hulk always with the upper hand. I don't see what's compelling about this match up.

Ben lasting long enough to roast the Hulk with a series of one-liners.

Among the handful of things this old show did...reasonably well. On the other hand, Season 1 Dr Doom, for instance, was a travesty.

This still isn’t a Rumbles thread, and it’s been necro’d after two and a half years of grave decay to add... nothing in particular.

    Why, exactly?

    ...

    I've no fuggin' idea.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran
