How GOTG has anything to do with the refugees, idk but if I'd love to hear your explanation of you have one. Avengers isn't chest pumping nationalism. Nothing in the film screamed American awesomeness. Unlike say the TF movies. I cover AoU below.

The AI thing has been covered so many times already and Age of Ultron didn't have anything new to say. More of a trend/trope of machines killing humanity.

    Ultron - AoU
    Sknet - Terminator series
Sentinels - X-Men Days Of Future Past
    Sentinels - The Matrix
    Cylons - Battlestar Galactica
    Androids - Dragon Ball Z
    Repliods - Megaman X
    Replicants - Blade Runner
    Cybermen - Doctor Who
    Borg - Star Trek

Man of Steel 2 is said to have Brainiac as the villain and he's very much like many of the aforementioned AI.

    Rinse, Reuse, Recycle and Repeat

    Yawn
Sure, it's "yawn", as long as you think it's nothing to be concerned about. There's a thing called "predictive programming". Ignore it at your own per(i)l, guys.

No, i don't agree. At all. A lot will be flipped in this list, Network TV would be last and Cap and Iron Man wouldn't hold those positions, Spidey didn't have a story he was just a recruit so i don't understand why he is in the list?

Frankly it seems to be both the TV people and the film peoples fault for this.

Fiege finally got enough clout to get Permutter off his back for good and good on him for doing it.

But that doesn't mean Marvel Studios couldn't block time for some Agent Coulson/Agent May cameo appearances in the movies.

The number of characters who would believably cross over from the movie to TV branches are very few anyway.

As long as we eventually get the scene where Coulson finally tells the Avengers that he's alive, I have no real problem with the movies and tv shows staying removed from each other. Like I said, different parts of the same world don't always have much communication between them (just ask me and Paris).

The only thing where I feel like some cross-platform reference should happen is with big, world-changing events. Inhumans popping up around the world? Seems like that'd be something Thunderbolt Ross might mention. An evil robot trying to throw a flying country at the planet? That seems like a thing Coulson would talk about (which he has). And I dont think the Netflix stuff should be mentioned by the other formats, even if contracts allow it. That's a totally different tone and it'd be irresponsible to plug those shows in movies that are kid appropriate.

I've no interest in seeing the MCU devolve into a series of cameo appearances where everyone has to meet everyone else. It's cool to see it when it happens but I'd rather each character be capable of standing on their own, and the big team-ups reserved for stuff like the Avengers.

I honestly can't remember the "it is all connected" line being used in a long time?
I dont remember them using that line other than advertising for the first season of Agents of SHIELD.

I honestly don't want them crossing over too much unless its meaningful. I don't need fan service unless its so minute it doesn't affect anything. If Sitwell or whatever name dropped Luke Cage then cool. But I don't need a movie diverting to Hell Kitchen for 5 minutes to see the Defenders punch something when movie screen time is so precious anyway
    I completely agree.

But if T'challa is in NYC and wants to hire Luke Cage as a bodyguard then, well, I won't complain
Don't you toy with my emotions like that!

The truth of the matter is, if the MCU was perfect, every single actor from IM1 til at least Avengers 4 would have been cast already and had their contracts drawn. All the directors, writers, producers and crew would be lined up and ready for the moment the begin. If the MCU was perfect we would have already seen some of the TV actors in the movies (e.g. a younger Tom Holland, Mike Colter, Charlie Cox, Kristen Ritter, etc in Avengers 1). CA:CW would have been much bigger and would have encompassed every single MCU project out. There would be a certain phase that would bring the movies to TV, and the TV to the movies. We could get a Daredevil Shadowland movie, and then a Black Panther in Hell's Kitchen Netflix series with a Hawkeye with Black Widow (or just Black Widow) series, a Vision series (inspired by Tom King's run). You can imagine the endless possibilities if the MCU was perfect. However, it is not. Nevertheless I still appreciate and love what they've managed to do so far.

In 2015 the commercial open use of IA put a lot of people in silent fear or trying to ignore that one day they'd be fired because an algorithm can do their jobs better than them. They would lose their lifestyle and identity, their world, because they were not efficient enough. Then a giant android, Ultron, the anthropomorphized form of this fear came up with the discourse that humanity should perish because they were so bad at administrating resources that they became a pest. The movie, presenting the totality of humans in peril enable identification and empathy, the "I'm not alone in this" feeling and proportionate catharsis in the hope that AI could be used in their favor instead of against them, personified in Vision. Ultron was created with Tony's brain patterns, with security as the main function while Vision evolved over the base of Jarvis wich was, in turn, a Tony's creation but with his childhood butler as a model.
This gives back the control over an unbeatable foe to humanity, represented by Tony, equally capable of mass destruction and utopia creation; as long as it is designed thinking about the rest of people, represented by the butler, as persons, instead of the cold statistics, that lead Ultron to its genocidal conclusion.
