While not a bad thing necessarily, this really doesn't seem necessary. There are plenty of things you can do with the franchise without rebooting it.

Plus I worry that they'll take the opportunity to redesign the Predator species.

Didn't they already try to reboot the Predator franchise? I know reboots are sort of the in thing right now, but I'm not sure how this can work. I was never a big fan of the Predator movies. I'm not sure what more a reboot can do other than use new characters and update the special effects. Then again, as Robocop as shown us, sometimes that's all a studio needs to do to turn a profit.

Reboot? What's there to reboot? Why not just continue with the existing movies, it's not as if Arnie and Glover having killed a predator before makes any difference to new viewers.
Predator is pretty straight up fun sci-fi action thriller..

I liked the Adrien Brody film as well. excited to see the franchise move ahead. Just don't get the "reboot" tag.

Id prefer it not be a jungle setting, as much as I liked the original, I dont like movies set out in the middle of nowhere

I liked the Preds as they are IMO. That and I think porn pretty much killed any interest I'd have in the concept of a female Pred

Or how about a Predator in Afghanistan or Iraq?

Someone said female Predator? How a Predator couple teaching their Kid Predator to hunt. Oh what a family drama it will be.
