    This scene and logically following scenes of Superman and Batman skinny-dipping with young boys do not actually appear in the book.

    Probably for the best.

    Misleading covers with people booing or sneering at the disgraced JLA were a DC tradition back in the day. Bought this one off the stands, way back when.

    No, Philly, that cover's by Kaare Andrews, in the STYLE of Sendak. And he seems to be very much alive.

    They were awesome, and only ran for a month. Unlike Marvel's hip-hop covers, which are awful and seem to be running for a millennium.
