Im ok with this if Desaad,Granny, and kalibak are part of this invading force aswell. Just steppenwolf and parademons doesnt work for me. Plus I want Wonder Woman and Mera to fight Granny and the furies

Warners would have better of with a soft reboot of Batman and skipped B v S altogether. Or straight to a Justice League film with the JL already established. Then spun off the other films.

Well, I guess it's good they're not rushing Darkseid, and maybe Snyder can handle Steppenwolf better then he did Luthor or could ever hope to with Darkseid .

Sounds like they might be going for a bit of a New 52 Earth-2 adaption with Steppenwolf leading an invasion of Earth...though I imagine the Furies, Kalibak, Granny Goodness and the rest of Darkseid's elites are probably going to be saved for Part 2. I wonder if we'll see Fury?

They should follow the comics and have the first villian to be Starro the conqueror!

Now having the team first coming together to fight a giant space starfish, that would really be extremely brave and bold!

Good news, err rumor. Now it means they wont rush Darkseid and Steppenwolf doesn't require much focus or depth freeing screen writers and directors to prioritize the heroes more.

They realized they were jumping into things too quickly with absolutely zero build up.

You don't start with Darkseid. You build him up over the course of many movies.

Huh. I would've thought the villains in the first JL Movie would be the League themselves.
Batman challenges the others to see who can murder the most people in two hours. That sounds like something Snyder wouldn't one up with. For fun.

Assuming that you will be taking the chance that those many movies are successful enough that you are able to use them to heighten the sense of anticipation and excitement at his eventual arrival.

Well, BvS seem to have been the build up.

Lex being crazy seems to have been because of Darkseid. That could also explain how he randomly was able to create Doomsday.

I hope they dont do like Marvel and have Thanos there in the back forever.

I wonder if this was always the plan or if Affleck influenced it.

Good. Darkseid has zero personality. He's like Sauron or the Emperor just evil for the sake of it.

That feels like you're selling Darkseid really short. He will be a good big bad for the Justice League, but as stated by someone else... they need to build up to him. The team needs to have some small victories under their belts first before they are cohesive enough to take on Darkseid.
