Welp, I found this issue very enjoyable. Nice pace and good art (although I saw two weird panels from Ramos, a pig nosed Peter Parker and a googly eyed J.J.). I wrote a full review here if anyone is interested.
Onto spoilers!
This issue cuts between Black Cat, Peter in the lab, J.J. Jameson, Electro and finally a climax at a burning building. Sometimes this balance doesn’t quite work, while at other times it keeps the pace and tension on high always. This issue is more of the latter as there isn’t much in the way of boring or exposition heavy moments.
There isn't a ton of spoiler stuff in this issue you couldn't guess if you read the last issue. spoilers:end of spoilers
Black Cat wants to take out Spidey for putting her in prison, but after fighting with him gets a little confused as to who he really is. Spidey tries to explain it was Doc Ock, so instead of just saying "believe me" over and over, goes into the Dock Ock voice and pretends to be him. He does this to convince her that maybe he wasn't really Spidey before, but then she leaves abrutly. She then says to herself maybe, MAYBE, she's wrong, but then finds Electro and tells him they need to take out Spider-Man together. Team up time!
The other major development is finding out spoilers:end of spoilers
J.J. is going to have his own show on the Fact Channel, which is similar to CNN or Fox News.
Thanks to Mahes, another spoiler I forgot to mention, spoilers:end of spoilers
Ezekiel is involved in keeping Silk caged in her room.
The J.J. revelation is a good one I think and gives him a whole new role for Dan Slott to explore. What did you guys think?
