Surprised no one has mentioned the official announcement of TMNT Last Ronin 2: Re-Evolution starring Yi, Uno, Odyn, and Moja as the new generation of dystopian future ninja turtles. I’m excited for this to drop in December because I’ve really been enjoying the Last Ronin series of books.

It'll be interesting to see more of the new Turtles. I felt Lost Tales was more than a little drawn out and anticlimactic so hopefully the next one will be paced better.

Honestly you really only need the lost day special, the lost tales feels more like a little extra sprinkled on. It has its moments though and I got a t-shirt from Ben Bishop of one of the variants of the new turtles.

That's certainly the case, but it shouldn't have been is what I'm saying. It probably should have only been three issues and it would have felt much tighter.

They are calling it Last Ronin II but really its III due to Lost Years. I don't get this naming but that said I'd wager that Last Ronin II is a proving ground for Uno, Yi, Odyn and Moja.
If the mini sells well we probably get an ongoing set in this future world. Question is what would a more applicable title be as Last Ronin really doesn't fit.

I'm gonna nitpick about a concept I haven't read, but I do it with love folks. I really enjoyed those old Ninja Turtle world RPG source books, the ones with all the Mirage art and stuff. You have so many different kinds of characters, why does this new team need to be turtles? They're likely to seem a little generic and unmemorable in comparison I think. Plus since it's called The Last Ronin anyway the title doesn't necessitate the turtle aspect. Yes I'm going to nerd jail for this post. Cowabunga though.

On the title, I guess an easy fix would be The Last Ronins.

Yeah it fits but wasn’t that show one of the reasons the original team broke up? I recall that Peter Laird hated the Venus character.
