From the company that brought you Windows H8, with programmes that are now apps, open programmes that miraculously disappear without reason and the Start "button" moving from the bottom to the top; from those same minds that were adamant everyone would want fingerprint smears all over their screens, thus designing mouse pad-controlled laptop operating systems with touch-screen use solely in mind, with a hideously impractical layout and detestable so much that downloading the 3rd party Classic Shell became a MUST just to use your own computer, comes the new look Hotmail.

FFS Microsoft, change it back.

Hotmail got rebranded as Outlook some years ago. It was never great shakes, but sorry to hear it's gotten even worse somehow.

Personally, I don't use Google, even though all android devices insist that an email account must be set up just to use the damn phone!
