I'm not so sure. Remember that BLEEDING COOL article that was up for like, three hours then mysteriously taken down? It stated that something that happens in Batman v Superman inspired a key element of the REBIRTH relaunch, and not even editorial knew it was coming until a top secret meeting around that time. That was like two weeks before the movie was coming out and around that time the solicits for ACTION #50 and SUPERMAN #50 ,which originally featured Nuperman and Superdad meeting as Truth was winding down, changed suddenly, Then Pak and Yang's departures were announced like, a day prior to the publication of those respective last issues and then this current story was announced as the bridge to REBIRTH all, like without a few weeks.

It's too much a co-incidence that comics Superman is dying right after his movie counterpart dies, and his replacement in the comics is wearing a costume similar to movie Supes.

The movie was ready much before bleeding cool wrote the article or the books were written. I'm pretty sure johns knew about the end.

they could just make the rebirth superman being nuperman with a costume like the movie. but maybe I'm being too racional about it

To be fair, if the comics wanted to follow the film they'd just do a new death of Superman story. He's died, what, 5 times already?

Instead they just replaced him with him. It's like if at the end of BvS, Henry Cavill's Clark dies against Doomsday and then Henry Cavill shows up to the funeral as Clark 2.
