I think Jay and Alan must have bonded over their love of red sweatshirts. Just as Bruce and Clark bonded over being raised by a Martha. Of such are lifelong friendships made.

Superman remains pretty comfortably out front.

I am quite impressed with the fact that Jay has gotten this far, but it's going to be Superman. It is always going to be Superman.

So is this all there is? We go through all these rounds, all these hard choices, the finalists struggle to make it to the finish line and that's it? I thought there'd be a parade, a six-piece marching band, parade floats. I thought there'd be dancing, fireworks, cake. No award ceremony, no silver cup, no champagne. Nothing? No grand speech from the winner or concession speech from the runner-up (no need to call him a loser). So much worry and thought put into all the choices and at the end of the day, just this?
