1. Mary Jane offered the exchange not Peter.

2. Peter does remember his marriage being exchange with Mephisto. But in some glorious miracle he did so, he probably cry himself to sleep and kill himself knowing he did something so unheroic. He never live.the guilt down.

3. Peter still saved his surrogate mom's life. It is inspirational what he had to do to help may survive after her life was put in jeopardy instead of naturally dying of old age.
