Does Superman's costume still materialize over him, or does he get dressed normally?

I remember several months back they changed it so that Superman's costume like Power Ranger'd on or something.

Felt a little strange, was wondering if this had been retconned yet. With his super speed it really felt like an unnecessary change.

It appears that its artist's choice at this point. It still does de-materialize and materialize from the S, but sometimes Clark is shown having it already materialized under his shirt old-school anyway (he just bends the collar down). Its not something that really needs to be retconned out. If writers don't want Clark using the effect they don't have to, but its there if they want to utilize it.
