I am of the generation that basically learned how to read from Carl Barks' duck comics, and like most members of that age group I never saw a single episode of Duck Tales. Nevertheless, I have no problem at all with Alan Young's voice being remembered as that of Scrooge. Anything that helps promote the Duckburgverse is a good thing, and if people came to know this material through his voice, then good for him.

As for comics artists whom people try to imitate nowadays - there seems to be a lot of Bruce Timm influence around, I think. This, of course, is not at all a bad thing.

I saw in the news that Wilbur had died. Then I saw in the news that Scrooge McDuck had died. I never made the connection that they were the same person.
