I guess his arms get tired. It was the 60's, so it still didn't exist that 90's awesome superpower that allows you to pose with useless and absurdly gross tonnaged weapons.

    ............

Again! 2 tributes 2 to 'Love & Rockets' in TNM #36 (1986). Either Mary Wilshire or Sienkiewicz (more likely the second, since he was the inker) were admirer, which doesn't surprise me at all.

It looks like Hopey has taken this wagon, LOL.

Yeah, those were great. Such a fun decade. I miss the 90’s so much.

Edit: I just think it’s hilarious that Warren chose to go up against Mags with a weapon made entirely of metal.

Subtle homages to UXM Annual #12 in X-Men Gold #13. I like it.

That's Mike Mayhew. What he does is stealing rather than homages.

They're also not subtle in the slightest. He just traced the originals.

He's the guy that got an issue of House Of M pulled because he had shamelesly appropriated a portrait of the king of Spain for a cover picturing 'Magneto'. I'm surprised he still gets work from Marvel after that stunt.

Oh, so we've got another Greg Land here, right?

Of course when I said 'subtle' I wasn't refering to the drawings themselves: they're clearly traced line by line just reversed. I meant that it may be a toast to Arthur Adams' work in that glorious extra story that introduced the X-babies.

As for Mayhew, I didn't know that tracing was a bad habit for him, neither that it was him the author of that laughable issue with the Spanish royal uniform. Anyway, the (ex)King of Spain is not half as handsome as Magneto ;P
