My Monthly Pulls - DC: Waiting for Deathstroke and Vigilante. Marvel: Moon Knight. The Vision, Waiting for Solo. Valiant: Bloodshot Reborn, Ninjak, Divinity III Stalinverse, Bloodshot USA event, Waiting for PSI Lords. Why aren't you reading Valiant and other Indies too?
While he's normally very blase about DC (Unless asked), Watchmen is kind of sore spot for him, so I can see him coming out somewhere down the road.
Not that it matter. Alan Moore was a great boon to the comic book culture, but the operative word here is "was". His time is past.
It is very good, and is effectively a prequel to Neonomicon which is another great book. His Crossed Plus One Hundred run was one of the best things I have read this year and has launched a fascinating ongoing.
Sometimes you get the feeling he is going through the motions but it never takes long for him to find his stride and produce something interesting and engrossing. Rumours of his demise are greatly exaggerated.
Wonder what Alan Moore would make of this? (apologies if posted already, I've not read through the whole thread)

Didn't he say last year (or maybe it was 2014) he was done talking about DC because people get all pissy when he's asked about them?
The same way he reacted on Blackest Night and Before Watchmen.
And rightfully so.

I can't really agree with this. "Dumb" is a strong word, and I prefer stories that can stand up to a certain amount of thinking-about. They don't have to be perfect to not be dumb.
Some people use phrases like this to dismiss a lot of valid criticism of comic books (and other fantasy).
I use to think we got the stories we deserve. Now I think we get the stories we're willing to put up with.
But that's just me.

Is it just me, or does DC have a real "notice me, senpai!" mindset toward Moore? Why do they seem so keen on getting his attention in the first place? Who cares if he notices you? Just make comics.
There's a Time For Peace, and Then There's a Time To Punch Nazi Scumbags in the Face!!
Maybe it is just me. But in recent years DC has mined much of his work for stories: Blackest Night was related to a GL story he did, Before Watchmen, the Watchmen-esque/Charlton universe, their revitalized interest in Swamp Thing and Constantine, the constant callbacks to The Killing Joke (which Moore isn't particularly proud of, although I'm personally a big fan of it), and now this. It does seem like Moore's concepts are being used more and more by DCU, but I can appreciate your skepticism, there's no strong evidence that this is anything more than a coincidence. Still, I do see a pattern.
