I'm pretty sure the Watchmen characters will get a "learned a lesson" or "happily ever after" ending in Rebirth, consider the story's theme. I'm more interested in how Moore will react to that.

It wouldn't surprise if he just allowed all the money on ongoing royalties to Dave G. Certainly on the films of his stuff that he didn't want making he often just arranges for artist to get any payment that would usually go to writer.

Whatever faults he may have, he's really not greedy for money.

I always find it a wee bit sad when any comics fans give him a "verbal kicking" after he's given so much pleasure via his writing.

Maybe because he attacks comic fans regularly and told anyone who reads Morrison to not read his books. He is the definition of having zero class

didn't read any of the replies but my thought on this kind of thing is always the same. Does Alan Moore have a problem cashing the checks he has received from Watchmen over the years? if he doesn't then he should shut his trap.

he's a strange dude. DC owns the characters. Sorry for his luck.

The only money he was offered was for the Watchmen movie, which he declined and said to give to the artist, Gibbons. Since the rights never reverted back to Moore, he never got any royalties. Creators don't get royalty checks from their characters since the characters are owned by DC. Only the really big names get royalties like the creators of Superman, and that's only through loopholes in contracts.

He basically said any adult who reads super hero comics is abnormal and strange and he wants nothing to do with them. He has zero respect for fans and out right insults them. He thinks Grant Morrison stole his work and is in love with him so he told anyone who is a fan of Morrison to never read his work. Not making this up. Google Moore and Morrison and you can read his last interview which was a short story sized rant about how much he hates super hero comics and anyone who is a fan

He isn't, he basically answers these questions because he's asked.
