Default Which is your favorite 'original' costume for Batman?

I'm not talking about the best Batsuit in general here, but what's your preference for the suit that Batman should be wearing when he first starts out and/or early in his career (which may overlap with the 'best' suit too!)

Here are some of the suits Batman has canonically worn while starting out, across various continuities and media:

EDIT: I forgot the Earth One OGN in the poll and can't edit it! Do select the Other option and comment if you want to pick that one.

    Original 1939 Suit

    The actual 'original' suit.

    Year One Suit

What an entire generation (or two) of comic readers long regarded as the original suit.

    Zero Year Suit

Probably the current 'canonical' original suit.

    Batman 1989 Suit

    Batman Begins Suit

    Batman the Animated Series Suit

Contrary to popular belief, Batman in the DCAU wore another suit originally, as seen in flashbacks in BTAS.

Secret Origins # 6 - Golden Age Retelling Suit

A neat 80's modernization of the classic Golden Age/early Silver Age suit.

The Batman - 2004 Animated Series Suit

At least, I'm assuming this is his original suit...

    The Batman - 2022 Film

Admittedly, there's a bit of confusion about whether this is actually his original suit or if there's a beta version before it...

New Look Untold Legends of Batman Suit

It may just be a continuity error, but I thought for the sake of completion I should include this classic Neal Adams suit, since it was shown to be Batman's first/early costume in the mini.

Other - Batman Earth One (not included in poll)

Forgot to include this one in the poll...thought I'd throw it in here

Would this be the Hush era, or Year One?

I just wanna vote for the correct suit.

    This would be Year One.

Its the same suit, more or less, anyway...but we're talking suits that Batman wore while starting out, so lets say Year One!

Not to be too picky, but the original original design in "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate," DETECTIVE COMICS 27 (May 1939) was different than what you show. It had the round buckle and the purple kit gloves. On the inside pages anyway.

On the cover the buckle is square and the kit gloves are blue.

Given that's the original design, for me it's the obvious choice. Favourite really doesn't enter into it. Any other costume is a redesign and not the original.

I wish that David Mazzucchelli had paid homage to that original costume in some way in "Year One"--even if it was just in one panel. Had he done that, I might have had a better feeling about the story as an origin.

But, did you vote for that one on the poll?

The Year One Suit gets my vote.

I didn't vote before because I wasn't sure if I should vote for 1939 or other. Now I did vote for 1939--but I'm not sure, maybe I should have voted other.
