Yes, some smug youtuber declaring with the Word of Truth what is and isn't a real game is always amusing... In his own fevered imagination anyway.
I thought we got past this "___ isn't a game" thing back when Gone Home came out.
I did watch him, and at no point does he actually say why it isn't a game. Just that it doesn't do some stuff that he subjectively likes in games.
Nope, he just says why he dislikes the game, which is fine, but that doesn't make it not a game. That would be like saying the Micheal Bay Transformer movies aren't movies because the story is trite and all the action scenes look like a tornado hit a junkyard. They suck, but that doesn't make them not movies.
The guy is just complaining about how the developer wants you to play as opposed to how the game is supposed to be played.
That doesn't really have anything to do with the game not being a game.

I finished Uncharted 4 and I think this guy is full of shit. Not liking a game =/= it's not a game. Uncharted has game mechanics, failure states and win conditions. All the things you need to make a game a game.
