Well they did take on Sinestro when he was a part of the Legion of Doom and Shaggy and Scooby became members of the Sinestro corps.

Hee-hee! Shaggy and Scooby as members as the Sinestro Corps! That makes sense! I can also imagine Scrappy-Doo as a member of the Red Lantern Corps, but that's just me and my small weird opinion. What issue was this?

The idea of a Scooby villain pretending to be the Ghost of Jonah Hex popped into my head.

It's Scooby-Doo Team-Up # 6. The reason Scoob and Shag become Sinestro Corps members is because they "scare themselves silly" all the time! It was a great gag.

Scott Shaw, the co-creator to Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew posted some pictures of Scooby-Doo encountering Zoo-Crew members: Ally-Kat-Abra and Rubber Duck on his Facebook page which makes me hope that DC will allow him to do a special Scooby-Doo Team-up issue where the gang gets to team up with the Zoo Crew.
