Its an interesting read but its central premise is wrong, Age of Ultron isn't what changed time travel. Quite simply time travel has never been handled consistently by Marvel. I don't remember the interview but I do recall reading one where an editor alluded to this saying something along the lines of letting each author handle the mechanics of the story however they want, regardless of how similar mechanics have worked in the past. Never let continuity get in the way of an authors story if the editors think it'll sell.

An author wants a story where travel through time profoundly changes history as in Days of Future Past or Age of Apocalypse? Go nuts. Another author wants to have characters from the future traveling back and forth through history like the (original) Guardians of the Galaxy or 2099? Alternate timelines. Go nuts. Yet another author (or even one of the 1st) wants to revisit a timeline previously destroyed or closed off, alternate universe, whatever they want.

Now as far as the narrative of Bendis's stories in ANXM and UXM, its an interesting possibility and would explain some of the potential plot holes that some on the forum have been unendingly complaining about since ANXM started.

Technically, Eva Bell chose to do it, not Xavier.

And Xavier doesn't even remember it.

It was very vague if Xavier remembers or not
