RUMOR: "Injustice: Gods Among Us 2" To Be Released in March 2017

According to a new rumor, "Mortal Kombat" house NetherRealm Studios will announce a new "Injustice: Gods Among Us" video game for next March.

Well you can scratch off Development for the PC, because the way they dropped PC for MKX, and couldn't even be bothered to at least release Kombat Pack 2 dlc for the PC, I really doubt that's happening.

I think Katana and Deadshot are extremely likely. Probably Cold, too. I'm hoping for Cheetah or Circe personally.

Hopefully they pick a better studio to port it than High Voltage Software, or develop it themselves. I have the PS4 version of MKX, but know how terrible PC fans feel, especially since they outright cancelled it for PS3, which I originally pre-ordered.

That said, I REALLY hope they add Cassandra Cain. She's in the mobile version, put her in the real one.

Also, they still have the rights to use Spawn (I guess), so expect him.

Good news since I really liked the first game, it had a surprisingly decent roster with few omissions besides Super Girl (who let's face it will have to be in this game now) and the odd missing bad guy like Captain Cold (as long as it's the tech version) and Darkseid. Also makes you wonder if they can toss in some Watchmen characters now...

I also wonder on the possible storyline. I did think an interesting idea for Injustice 2 would be having the evil Regime Superman escape and then try to get revenge via alliances with various bad alternate timelines. That way you get not just the Prime and Regime universes but stuff like Soviet Superman, Vampire Batman, Power Girl and the like getting involved.

(I also hope this makes Marvel get their finger out of their bums and try and make their own console fighting game already.)

Yeah there's few from the first game I'd want to lose, but definitely not Nightwing. I also hope they give Grayson a bigger role in the second game, cool as the Damian twist was. But I feel like the DC TV shows are gonna be a big influence here as much as the movies.

NRS games don't overdo it when it comes to their rosters. The starting roster will likely be around 24 characters. With DLC the character count would take it to 30-32 characters. Judging from MK9, MKX and the first Injustice game.
