Since this is the Superman that fought and was killed by Doomsday, when did that earth stop being the main earth or earth 0. Did Flashpoint take that away?

Not quite apparent, username, as Rebirth clearly shut the door in the faces of us n52 Superman fans. NYCER put it perfectly, nad it also was hinted by Tomasi in a few interviews released shortly before the issue.
Damn DC. Damn them to hell.
Well, he was brought back via Brainiac/ the Convergence event. For some godforsaken reason they were in pre-Flashpoint Gotham, which was taken by Brainiac. When Convergence ended Superman, Lois and Jon got to n52 Earth-0, which thanks to Johns and Rebirth NOW it happens to be pre-FP Earth-0 (the same Earth they were taken from, COINCIDENTALLY).
Yeah, I know.
This is what I was thinking. What we call the Pre-Flashpoint Universe, the New 52, and what we have now with Rebirth, is the same universe, same Earth, same people it's just that the timeline has been altered. At the start of Flashpoint on the Post Crisis on Infinite Earths/ Earth 1, the place most of us have invested a lot of time reading about over the years(however you wanna refer to it) Barry travels into the past and saves his Mom's life which has dramatic alterations back in the present that Barry came from. Why Barry's Mom living or dying has such a profound alteration to Superman and Batman for example along with everyone else is kinda strange but oh well .
Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff.
So we briefly have this very skewed new timeline going on because Barry's Mom is alive, until it's decided to restore the death of Barry's Mom to make things right again because in this new timeline the world is going to hell in a handcart. So Barry Re-alters things again so his Mom dies at the same point and place in time that she originally did. But, since you can't even go back in time and so much as step on the flowers without altering the time stream from that point on, things are put back mostly the way they were but not exactly but there maybe a bigger reason for that.
Enter Dr. Manhattan.
The problem now presenting itself is not only did Barry Allen's mucking about in the past change things, Dr. Manhattan was also screwing around with this universe and timeline and altered things even more. It likely that if Manhattan hadn't been involved things would've went back to the way they were before exactly.
The Pre-Flashpoint Superman and the New 52 Superman are in fact the same Superman, New 52 Superman had 10 years of life history erased from memory, thanks to Dr. Manhattan while Pre-Flashpoint Superman is a timeline anomaly because he was plucked from the time stream in a timeline that did exist, seems to still exist but everyone forgot but is now remembering.
In other words, they are each the same Superman taken from two different points in their time stream.
The anomaly really gets weird when you realize that New 52 Superman is further ahead in the timestream and PreFlashpoint Superman is from the past which would make him younger but he was pulled from the timestream and allowed to age so he is technically a little older than the New 52 version.
Or there is this possibility.
On Doctor Who when you have two Doctors in the room you know one Doctor is younger than the other. Like when the 5th Doctor & 10th Doctor are on the Tardis together and the 10th knows what to do because he remembers it from when he was the 5th Doctor. But whats going on with the 2 Supermans is more like when Amy Pond met Amy Pond because* one version was plucked from the timeline while the other was stuck on a planet for 36 years fending for her life. They are the same person from the same universe and timeline just from different points. Which brings up the question if the younger version is here how can an older version be here also if what's happening with the younger should trump what's happening to the older?
Here's a possible explanation as to why the Pre-Flashpoint Superman is older and did not largely get involved with the events of the New 52 and remained in the shadows, doing good but not revealing himself to anyone.
It's because he remembers living thru it.
Like the 10th Doctor knew what to do from when he was the 5th.
Everything that has happened to the New 52 Superman the last 5 years is all in the Pre-Flashpoint Superman' past and memories.
That's why he didn't get involved he knew he didn't have to because everything that happened to him in the New 52 is part of who he is and how he got to where he is today. He had already lived it and remembers it because it's his past.
Which means the New 52 version of Superman must be resurrected, at such a time and manner to be reinserted into the timestream to continue living and eventually marry Lois Lane and have a son named Jon, live in the shadows on this altered Earth until these recent events happen and he can pick up where he left off after he "died" again, revealing himself to friends like Batman and Wonder Woman, and the rest of the world in general. Which is where Superman Rebirth #1 picks up at.
