    Default All-Star Western #32 Discussion / Spoilers

At a poker game Jonah Hex and Tallulah Black apprehend wanted criminal Amos Blackthorne. On the way to collect the bounty they stop in a tavern to wait out a storm. The tavern owner drugs them and the town folk take Blackthorne, their guns, tie Jonah and Tallulah to their horses and run them out of town. When they wake up they come across some bandits who are attacking a preacher and his wife. They try to intervene despite still being tied up but the bandits shoot and kill Jonah and Tallulah's horses. The issue ends in a cliffhanger with Jonah and Tallulah on the ground still tied to their dead horses. There is no back up in this issue.

Why did they suddenly drop the thread from the previous issue concerning the Jonah Hex impostor?

The Jonah Hex impostor? waiting in the next canyon. another great but too-short issue. didn't care for the several page ad taking up the back-up story space. Looking forward to a great modern-day (the past couple of years' worth) Jonah Hex re-read in a few months. amazes me how a book this well put together, words and pictures, is not outselling (nearly) all others.

One of the best issues of the series. I read this in print, and there were no ads throughout the 22 page story.

Also, regarding the backup, keep in mind that recently the book has gone to 22 pages only. The recent Madame .44 issues only had 12 pages of the main Hex story and 10 for the backup. I, for one, would much rather they stick to this format without a backup if it means we're only gonna get 22 pages total.
