On the poll: even if she is "American" as can be, Everyone has an accent regardless lol.. I guess you meant Non American accent. I picture her having the average, non-southern/boston/new york but still American type accent. She's created by an American for mainly American purposes, although sometimes in places like England, operates mainly in the States and is pretty knowledgeable on communication so she might as well have some type of American accent.

A slight ''exotic'' one but yeah, in my head she has an accent.

Years ago, I would have said definitely not, no accent.

Today, I do think WW would have a slight accent, more pronounced at some times than others, less at others. Always very clearly speaking English but just enough of an accent however unidentifiable.

Love Gal Gadot's voice and accent. Pitch perfect for Wonder Woman.

Anyone who goes through vocal training knows there are a huge variety of accents in the US.

Here are just a sample list that is fairly conservative:

    • Midwestern American English.
    • Midland American English.
    • Inland Northern American English.
    • North-Central American English.
    • Southern American English (SAE)
    • Dialects of the East Coast Cities.
    • Southwestern American English
    • Southern Californian English
    • Boston Accent.
    • New York City English.

So, for those who voted "no accent" which of these United States accents would you see her speaking with?

ETA: When voice actors are given direction for "Apple Pie American" by a director that usually translates to Midwestern American.

Well, for me, Gal Gadot is basically Wonder Woman, so WW sounds like her in my head.

Same here. I ADORE Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, her WW legacy, and her voice, but Gal Gadot is "my" Wonder Woman. Gadot's English having a non-American lilt made sense for a character who was born and raised in a mythical land abroad.

Lynda Carter version, Super friends version, and throw in the Wonder Woman records version as well, such as "the return of Brunhilde."

I went w. no opinion because, while I never imagined her w. an accent growing up, hearing her w. one in the DCEU hasn’t bothered me at all.

Of course that might have something to do w. my ears ringing whenever I look at Gal Gadot.
