    Default Image help needed

I'm reading a few Image books:

    Bitch Planet
    Manhattan Projects
    Stray Bullets
    Midnight of the Soul
    tradewaiting Morning Glories
tradewaiting Jupiter's Circle (the old heroes)

My question is What Image book or two should I add. I'm feeling awfully deficient on this stuff as the first two on my list are way too rare. Saga really didn't gel for me. It was good, but nothing I was interested in. Based on the books I've listed, can you come up with a recommendation? (Yes, I am getting Divided States of Hysteria. Love me some Chaykin)

    Thanks for the advice.

    I've heard good things about Velvet . . .

Lazarus and The Fix would be my picks for you based on your current reads.

Manifest Destiny and Revival are also very good.

Velvet is definitely worth a try.
East of West may also be to your liking.

Velvet and Autumnlands have been mentioned and I would add to the chorus on those.

I would add Lazarus by Greg Rucka and Michael Lark, any of the Brubaker Phillips collaborations (Criminal,Fatale, Fade Out or their new upcoming book) and even though I think it's currently on hiatus, I would recommend checking out the first 3 trades of Five Ghosts for some excellent pulp feeling adventure comics.

Others I read an enjoy (but you might need to be a fan of the genres to get into) include

    Southern Bastards
    Thief of Thieves
    Outcast

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm thinking the best way to decide is to pick up a couple of first trades and see what strikes my fancy.

Definitely Lazarus. just started the Fix and digging it. Invincible doesn't seem to fit w/ the rest, but it's just too good not to mention.

I'm only following two Image books currently: Thief of Thieves and Velvet. Both are excellent. Thief of Thieves for your action/crime drama needs, Velvet for your Bond-esque action/adventure/spy drama needs. I enjoy both a lot.

    I like Wayward.

And Black Magick is supposed to continue once Rucka and Scott are done with their 6 issue arc of Wonder Woman.

I'm trying Manifest Destiny (based on your recommendations), Paper Girls (based on my comic shop's recommendation), and Outcast (based on my wife's recommendation - even though she didn't know it. "hey, this is a good show we should watch" she says...).

Thank you again for your help in expanding my superhero heavy palate.

    monstress.
Marvel and DC comics are no different than the food at McDonalds. It will fill you up but in the end bad for your health. Read more independent publishers. Get away from the corporate homogenous cookie cutter fast food comics.

Lazarus is great, but everyone already mentioned it. So I'll say The Fuse! It's really well done police procedural set on a space station.
