July 2018 Comic Book Sales: http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomi...8/2018-07.html
Sales look good, if Action sales don't get better, I can see DC relaunching it with a #1 again because they may be worried a high issue numbering is killing the title.
For comparison...
New52
Action Comics #1 - 204,000
Superman #1 - 144,000
Rebirth
Superman #1 - 105,380
Action Comics #958 - 75,661
Bendis era
Superman #1 - 133,703
Action Comics #1001 - 79,327
So he beat the initial Rebirth orders, interesting. Now we’ll see what the drop off is like for Bendis, issue to issue. If he can maintain those sales I think he’ll be fine.
I’ve been wondering if maybe copying Marvel’s new numbering system might not be a bad idea. Gives you a new #1 and the legacy numbering, because I’m not sure if 1100 is going to interest people like a 100 issue would.
