I hope it stays only because I'd hate for his domination of the Superman title to inexplicably grow as opposed to tone down as it should.

Action might drop below 40k next month, for the first time since Rebirth began. Oz Effect should give it a huge sales bump after that, thanks to the Oz identity reveal and the lenticular covers.
Superman sees a bigger drop than usual than it's seen in recent months. I think the filler issue, followed by 'Road Trip' which also felt like filler issues, might have hurt the book a little.
Super Sons is holding strong. It's selling a few hundred copies less than Robin: Son of Batman was at #6, but I think the strong digital performance makes up for it.

I wonder how much life New Super-Man still has left in it, especially since they've cancelled Superwoman. I hope that even if DC does end it that they do a Justice League of China book or give Yang a new Superman book given how great his run has been .
Supergirl's borderline, so I'm wondering if they'll try and do something to bump the books sales up.
These filler issues have been a dud, not surprised about Superman sales dropping. And with the normal writing team away, I don't see sales increasing too much unless a lot of green lantern fans check out the upcoming sinestro arc.
As for Action, sales probably will decrease with this lex arc, but come back really high with the Oz story. At this point, I think New Super-Man will end with Super Woman in January, but hopefully spin into a justice league of China book.
I keep hoping for a steel book...hopefully it happens.
The Superman drop isn't actually bad, just a bit more than expected.
Next month, when we have the data for issue #28 we'll get a better idea of how much damage, if any, was done.
I don't think New Super-Man will be ending so soon as January, but even with good trade sales, it's time is still limited, and I can only hope with y'all that we get that Justice League of China book.
i still believe that rumor about the sistematic erasure of everything related to n52, so maybe those sales are a blessing to johns and co.

Disappointing but this is systematic of a problem with the comic book industry in general. Only 3 books sold over 100,000 copies in August which is a noticeable decrease in a period that is supposed to be peak comic book sales time. The Superman comics are good, well written and received in general so the quality hasn't necessarily gone down. Comics are just selling worse in recent years.
Action's quality has actually gone up. But Superman I'd argue has decreased in quality pretty dramatically. That title's got problems.
Nothing Gold Can Stay. This is the state of not just comics, but more specifically Superman in today's era. Nothing can keep him above average for long. Hell if trends continue Rebirth just might show that nothing can keep him average for long. I don't know what it would take at this point.

Eh, Superman has been in the 40-50k range for about 15 years (when he hasn't dipped below) and as a consistent thing, that's just fine in modern comics. Giving Action Comics the Oz story should beef sales, Doomsday Clock and Superfriends hitting in December are guaranteed exposure. And this is before they have really unveiled much at all about the 80th anniversary projects.
The double-shipping has affected the sales and taken its tool. Even Batman sold below 100k some months until the proposal created buzz.
But the title since the end of Black Dawn HAS gone a bit downhill. Its been two months now that we had fill-ins in the creative team and the Deathstroke story seems so unappealing. Personally I won't check it out.
I expect a big fall during the fill-in month and unfortunately I don't see the readers returning for Imperius Lex no matter how glorious it is.
Action Comics #985 actually saw a slight increase from Action Comics #984.
