A year before the story "The Batman of England", there was "Ride, Bat-Hombre, Ride" in Batman #56 (December 1949-January 1950).

If you want to read that story, this link (http://cacb.wordpress.com/2009/03/01...athombre-ride/) should hopefully work.

And even though I'm not aware of a new Bat-Hombre to replace the original, the villain El Papagayo from that story was recreated for the first run of Batman Incorporated.

I didnt know El Papagayo was a character that Morrison brought back. Nice!

    Also, dat bat-stache!

I love the Batman Inc. concept and I appreciate it's still sorta there in the background, giving me hope more could be done with it eventually, like a team book, which could be interesting in having all these guys with similar MOs and mission statement, but also clashing because they're "Batman" and all trying to be the leader.

You can see the full story here: http://acespot1.blogspot.com/2007/10/batman-65.html

While he also was not originally included in the Batmen of All Nations / Club of Heroes, he was retconned into a member post-CoIE by Roy Thomas (in Infinity Inc. #34 and Secret Origins #27 in the 1980s).

Then in 2007, Grant Morrison brought the character back with a more . . . sinister background, as well as a costume to match.

That version didn't last beyond the three-issue story in Batman #667-#669, but a new person took on the costume and code-name in the pages of Batman Incorporated.
Also we should point out that his secret identity was finally revealed in the Batwing title, just this year, by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Grey. Though I'm having a little trouble remembering it

But the pages where Beryl's on the sofa and there she first announces herself as Knight look great. I can believe Chris's will be just as good, but better? I dunno.
He could certainly wisely just do his spin on the same angles. He may not - his prerogative - but I think I agree that she looked properly gutted.
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.

Count me as another who would read their ongoing adventures.

I would like it if someone replaced Legionary (who Morrison dumped on then killed off LOL!) with an updated Legacy character like most have gotten.
There must be a great visual way to incorporate a Bat motif into a Legionary uniform.
Maybe make her a female. The Bat Inc./Batman of all Nations are definitely lacking female members.

    LOL

Batwoman was in Batman INC. before the reboot. She should come back in the New 52. And Batgirl too and maybe Bluebird.

I really wish they'd give Beryl her own costume.
