Also in my last post I said I was okay with a hat as long as the design doesn't look stupid like the current version.

You mean like how Wally West was gone for even longer? Seriously, we are in the middle of an event that is all about writing love letters to people who held out and refused to budge, and unlike characters and histories, costumes can literally change between one artist and another. Next costume redesign might very well get rid of the hat.

And no, I'm not angry at all. I have no reason to be, life is good. And i don't think i insulted anyone with the 'angry nerds' remark and if you feel insulted then sorry. All i did was respectfully ask for valid reasons on why Roy's hat doesn't work. All i got was snark.

The backward baseball cap conversation reminded me of something I found amusing. I saw this guy with a ball cap worn backwards walk out of a store and it was sunny outside, he put his hand over his eyes to provide shade as he looked for his car. Obviously he wore the hat for style and not function.

I'd say that a yellow ballcap would be an effective way to modernize the Speedy costume so that it is less dorky (though "dorky sidekick" works too.) It seems kind of weird though as an adult that he would put so much time into making a good looking costume as an adult to throw that away with a random green hat. At least the new cap matches, but it still seems kinda weird, maybe partially because the backwards ballcap isn't really in style too much anymore (or hats in general really.)

I don't think that hats would over go out of style though. I feel like everyone wears hats for different reasons. I'm a big hat person, but i normally wear hats to protect my hair.

People should dress in a way that they like and allows them to express themselves, not for what's "in style" at the moment.

I'm a bit annoyed that Roy gets to keep his hat that most people seem to hate, but Superman can't have any red on his costume besides his cape, and Starfire's awesome design from her solo book was abandoned after just a year for a Mass Effect design ripoff.

Fedoras are pretty popular here in New York City. People in the preppy parts of the city wear them.
