What happened to old CYCLOPS?

So I am a fan of cyclops, the old one, and it is a bummer that he is no where to be found after secret war events. He is supposedly dead...

other characters are no where to be found such like emma frost...

Action covers usually show the villain in control and the hero in trouble in order to create suspense, so that cover makes total sense.

I really don't think they'd get rid of such a major character with an off panel and barely described death.

I think he's still alive and they are planning a big reveal eventually, whether it's in a 6 months or 3 years.

He'll make a free chicken day for all the inhumans and then turn them back to baseline humans to even up the scales, then release MGH mists to the atmosphere and restart the mutant race

I don't think he's dead, I think they are just dragging it out is what I meant. I don't think they would let such a major off panel death stand.

I think they're trying these months to see if the young Cyke can as effectively (read: sell comics) replace the older version as Jeen has Jean.

IMO, they tried the same with Nightcrawler and the AOA version as well as the kid version. The only success they've had so far doing that sort of thing seems to be with teen Jean. We'll see if Laura successfully replaces Logan, too.
