If the original image is legit, it would be a huge WTF having two MK characters as guests and if it's fake, it would be a huge slap in the face to the people that want Black Manta.

As a Black Manta enthusiast myself i must admit that it would be quite a bummer yes lol. Though if it's fake that would mean maybe no additional MK characters so that would be a plus.

Ah well, that's the point of it all isn't it? To make us talk and speculate till they release the actual names.

I hope that other female character is Mera but I'm about 90% sure it's Enchantress.

Enchantress would be by far the biggest waste of a slot. Literally every other prominent female character makes more sense than her. Mera will be in the Justice League movie, I still can't fathom why they would have Black Manta as DLC and not her. Vixen has a rather decent media profile. If there's to be another Suicide Squad character, let it be Katana instead. Star Sapphire could be a better choice as well.

Mera would be an awesome character to have, no question. I sure also wouldn't mind Katana or even Raven.

But to be honest, Enchantress or Vixen, both would be a disappointment for me.

Mera's powers are different from Aquaman's.

Aquaman doesn't have hydrokinesis, he fights with a trident. Mera's fighting style would be totally different. Look Atrocitus, he doesn't fight like Hal, despite that he has a power ring too.

Yeah, in the first Injustice that's pretty much all he uses, his trident. He's a melee fighter with a couple of long range tricks. (and with both tricks he also uses his trident)

Only water related power he has is his ultimate if i remember correctly. When Mera is pretty much all about water.

Manta is Aquaman's arch nemesis. Most of the other main heroes have their villains in the game. Why not Aquaman? Manta has a decent media profile so he's a good choice.
