Who is Mother? That isn't a Midnighter connection is it? I wish he were part of this book; I love to see him and Batwoman interact.
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

Is Batman: Rebirth #1 necessary to read before the new Detective?
I'd planned on dropping all Bat-books (sans Nightwing) but the reviews for Detective are pretty damn good all around...
Besides a reference to Duke, nothing in this book requires reading of Batman.
Yeah, just when I thought I was done with DC, the premise of this book pulls me back in. An ensemble book is just what I wanted from Detective Comics.
I may have to buy it.
But...why Clayface? I don't get it. I was enjoying We Are Robin...there's tons of good characters there. Clayface? Come on. It's either an obvious set-up for a betrayal or a really dumb use of a dumb villain. How old is the guy supposed to be? Why is he a rookie/trainee like these kids? He doesn't fit the premise of the team.
