May Rao listens to you. There's this Superman Reborn crossover coming. We'll see if we get some answers then.

I consider myself an old fan, and all they managed to do was to push me away. Yup, well done DC.

Which makes me think of WonderStar. I *almost* thought he was the son of Superman and Wonder Woman from the future. By that NOT being the case, I'm now thinking that perhaps it was some sort of metamessage intended for those of us who are SMWW fans.

Add 1 more, last time I turned this hard against something I use to love was when l left Nintendo for Playstation in the 90's, Nintendo never won me back cause the games on Playstation fit my play style better. "I get attached to things Reggie!

A big part of the story was deleted here. I recommend taking the link to scans daily.

Let me begin by saying I am not a fan of how the New 52 Superman was portrayed outside of Morrison and Pak's runs, including Johns' mishandling of the character in JL and his later run on the title.

I was also completely against the New 52, but gave a number of titles a year to change my mind. None did, and I found the most enjoyable were those disconnected from the rest of the scattershot universe that resulted from Rebirth. Frankenstein and Action Comics were my favorites.

Action almost felt like a self-contained Elseworlds or Earth-One tale, and in that context, it's beautiful. My favorite moments/concepts from Morrison's run include:

    *The proto-costume
    *Golden Age power levels
    *Clark's characterization
    *Clark and Jimmy's friendship
*Clark first working at the Daily Star
*Clark and Lois' genuine rivalry and mutual respect
*Mrs. Nyxly and her role in Clark's life
*Luthor's portrayal and his scheme to stop Superman
*that phenomenal bullet train sequence and the interrogation in the following issue
*Clark's solution for getting to the Collector of World's ship
*Clark's use of his miniaturized ship to reprogram the Collector and his ship
*The return to a Silver/Bronze/post-Infinite Crisis Krypton
    *Jor-El and Lara's characterizations
    *The Phantom King
*The mission to Mars, interaction with the scientists there
*The truly fantastic sequence that sees Superman read medical texts at super speed and the operation on Lois using his fingernail as a scalpel

I was not as impressed with the Vyndktvx arc, though I did enjoy the callbacks to the Silver Age and the ultimate solution Superman found to defeating Vyn.

I'd love to see these moments "folded" into the new history of the post-Reborn Superman.

The only thing I liked about Johns run was the terrific scene of Superman talking the mugger down. That was an iconic Superman moment.

I'd let the Fantastic Voyage Jimmy of the '70s or All-Star Jimmy in on the secret, but the New 52 Jimmy was kind of random.

It was actually disappointing to me that Johns was so assertive in setting up the classic DP status quo, doesn't really seem like Rebirth was on the table in that case.

Yeah, if you're just going to link anyway it's pointless to post a ton of images.
