I agree with much that article, except for the part about X-23 having not been cast yet. There's some evidence suggesting the mystery girl we've seen on set filming with Jackman and Stewart is indeed X-23, and we don't know how old that casting call actually is. Rumors we've discussed in the Wolv3rine thread over on the X-boards suggest that the role was cast as long ago as April.

Uh no. There's Deadpool & Cable coming, then New Mutants and Gambit. And then an X-Force movie, which will unite Deadpool and Cable with X-23, and possibly Gambit. And the main franchise is supposed to focus on the Phoenix next. No need for Wolverine until X-23 gets enough exposure to step into the role herself.

At this point last I checked the X-Force movie is still a big maybe, and the Gambit movie seems to have one problem after another so who knows if/when those movies will ever come out...

Most of the stuff in this article has already been announced. The only new tidbit here involves the title. Can't really glean too much from a title like Wolverine: Weapon X, but it definitely works. Most of Wolverine's story in the movies, for better or for worse, has revolved around Weapon X. I think completing this story is a good way to complete Hugh Jackman's tenure as this character. I still suspect that it'll somehow end with him dying, forcing someone else to take the mantle. However, I'm not confident Fox is able to tell that story in a way that won't get hopelessly convoluted.

Cast *AS* long ago as April, not cast AS April. The first report on the forums that an actress had already been cast came on April 20.
